Love the way this one turned out. Hope you all enjoy this shot. Hoping to see you all on my twitter page soon.
It’s pretty hard to believe that some kid who started playing drums in the 5th grade with four buckets and two coffee cans would end up singing the Star Spangled Banner in Spokane, WA, in front of 12,500 people at a Clay Walker concert. The manager shook Bobby’s hand and said, “Good job, Kid–that was great!” After that, Bobby McIntyre was asked to sing the National Anthem for Jody Mesina, Rascal Flats, Tracy Lawrence, Daryl Singletary, and Shelly Wright
Bobby was born in Ventura, CA… and when he was 12 years old, in the 7th grade, he got his first drum set, and became good enough that a local rock band asked him to play drums for their band–and played with the band on and off for about three years. Then the leader of the band started teaching him to sing harmony. He says he picked it up really fast, moved to the big city of Spokane for college, and studied music for two years while playing in a couple of bands. He finally got a board of drums and started playing guitar at the age of 20–and wrote his first song. He started singing together with a local friend and found out he was a ‘pretty good country singer’ by the way the audiences always received him.
Bobby’s family owned a country restaurant with a dance hall… and his buddy Jason Evers and he started a duo called Young Country. He says they got pretty good and they became regular guests on the J and Kevin Show on KDRK Radio in Spokane, WA. Bobby says, “People loved the songs I wrote! I even wrote a few fun jingles that played on the air for four or five years. My mother loved country music–and wanted me to be a country star some day! On a Friday afternoon, I met my Mom to pick up her 12-string guitar. I could not afford my own guitar at the time–and I had no idea that it would be the last time I saw my amazing Mom alive.” He says losing his Mom was so hard; but he kept going with his music–and now his writing means even more than his live appearances!
Bobby opened his own Cellphone Store in the year 2000. With a new business and a family to support, he put his music away for almost 11 years. He always sang with his kids and picked the guitar up from time to time–and taught a few lessons here and there, but says his family and store was his life! Bobby says it wasn’t until 2009, after his wife of 11 years left him for someone else, that he even picked up the guitar to write new music. Suddenly, there was so much emotion going on in his world… and the songs kept coming! He wrote, “Not the Enemy, God’s Grace” and many more during this very hard time. He says they were not the happiest songs, but they were full of emotion. He says “I was always a Christian! Mom gave me my first Bible in the 5th Grade… and my faith in God just kept growing. Even though life was hard, I met my wife Wendy in 2011… a wonderful woman from Canada.” Bobby lost his Dad, Bob Sr., to cancer early 2011. He sold his store and and house and took a huge leap and moved with his amazing son Jacob to another country called Canada around the Edmonton area.
Not being able to work in Canada, was a big shock for Bobby because he was not a citizen, but it did give him time to write again. Bobby says he also joined the local church worship team and started hearing those new faith songs in his head. He also started taking a course in Audio Engineering and built his own mini home-studio in their home; and started writing and recording everything that came to his heart. He says it wasn’t until August-2012 that he finally realized what he was meant to do. He says, “I was painting my deck, and I heard God speak to me! He told me to put down your brush, and go pick up your guitar and write this song. God also spoke clearly to me, and said: This is what you are suppose to do, Bobby! It is time, believe… OK!” He says he wrote the song, “Jesus is the One,” and decided to enter it into the Break Forth 2013 Song Writing Contest. He says, “Around 2012, I started my ReverbNation page and got some feedback–but not too much with the few songs I had listed. And it was not until he wrote the song, “Falling for Jesus,” that the lights turned on! And since then God has been giving him melody after melody!” Bobby Says It's Amazing what has happend since that hot summer day in 2012, My music is heard all over the world now, and my only source of income now is from the music industry, which is a dream come true. What is even more amazing is it's only just begining, in 3 years I have gained over 250 thousand followrs and fans of my music and mission, but I plan to have millions who know me and I also want to help and reach millions of people on this journey, so there is still lots of work to be done.

The Best place to chat with Bobby McIntyre is on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Bobby-McIntyre-294651437308528/ at this time due to how many awesome bands and artist he helps with Music promotion. I would have never dreamed of being so busy helping other artists, "Says Bobby" but I must say its a huge blessing to be able to do so. Bobby is also of course living his dreams with his own music and is in the process of putting together a Christmas album. Look for some country and some more rock sounds on this new album, along with some great covers.
